Ruminating

Ruminating is a work about a mental state in which thought repeatedly turns back upon itself, disconnected from its surroundings.

Ceramic, thread-wrapped wire, and a stretcher frame with a textile piece woven on a handloom.

The sculptural object consists of an organic ceramic form crossed by a red thread that enters and emerges repeatedly, retracing the same path without moving forward. The gesture evokes a thought that persists, returning again and again to the same place.

Beside it, a frame woven with white thread over white canvas remains untouched: a space in which nothing happens. The red thread—which might have become a vital line of connection—never reaches it.

LIFE, INTENSELY

heart in hand

breath, the taste of pomegranate in the sun.

to wrap what burns

someone says, “careful,”

what for?

when it is hunger.
